Making your own pizza is always fun, especially if there's kids involved!
First your will need the dough. You can either make your own, or buy pre-made dough at the store. Of course, you can always use an alternative such as french bread or english muffins!
If you don't feel like making your own sauce, you can easily find already made "pizza" sauce, or just buy some regular marinara.
Now for the supplies.. Of course it's good to have either pizza pans or pizza screens (between 6"-8" for personal pizza) that way the dough can be placed on the pan, prepped with sauce, cheese, and toppings, and go straight into the oven.
A pizza peel is also great! It easily slides under the pizza pan/screen and removes it from the oven. You can also use pan grabbers, or the regular oven mitts.
A spoodle is fantastic for spreading the sauce. It's like a ladle, but with a flat bottom, used to spread the sauce.
For cutting the pizza into slices, a pizza wheel/cutter works great and is very handy!
The toppings really depend on your taste and the others making pizzas, but here are some general toppings.
Cheese of course. Most use mozzarella, but you can use whatever you prefer. Pepperoni, sausage, ham, tomato, pineapple, onion, bell pepper, jalepeno, olives, and mushrooms and some popular choices.
I hope this helps you prepare for your pizza party! Enjoy!
